In today’s update, Valve did something completely unusual by adding the ability to rent all weapons from the Kilowatt case, except for the knife. This feature is available to anyone using the corresponding key. So, if you open a Kilowatt case, you can choose to either open it and receive a random item or rent any weapon from the collection for a week. After the 7-day period, the skins will obviously disappear from your inventory. Here’s how it looks in the game:

It should be noted that you cannot attach anything to or modify the rented weapon in any way, meaning that stickers and tags cannot be applied to rented weapons.
Clearly, this was done so that people who never open cases would finally do so, providing the company with a stable passive income. However, this will undoubtedly affect the prices of skins, at least from the aforementioned Kilowatt collection.
As for the other important aspects of the update, it’s worth noting the addition of an extra entrance in the connector. How this will affect the map’s balance will only be revealed over time.
All other changes are minor, namely the reduction of the M4A4 price to $3000 and the Molotov price to $500. While the former is unlikely to make players return to the unsilenced M4, the price reduction of the Molotov is quite welcome, especially for the CT side.
