You may have a powerful PC ensuring stable FPS, a reliable internet connection, and seemingly nothing that should cause issues. Yet, like lightning during a storm, micro lags can appear after an update or even out of nowhere.

The situation can be fixed with a single launch parameter that enables CS2 to run using Vulkan. Vulkan is a low-level graphics API designed to enhance performance and efficiency, often reducing micro lags and improving stability, especially on systems with compatible hardware.

Vulkan, enter the following command into the launch options:

-vulkan

To do this, open the launch options and enter the simple command:

To find the place to input the launch parameters, follow these simple steps:

  • Choose Properties from the drop-down menu.
  • Go to your Steam Library.
  • Find Counter-Strike 2 in the list of games, then right-click on it.

A new window will appear after clicking on Properties. Navigate to the General tab, where you can locate the section to modify the game’s launch options.

Locate the “Launch Options” field. This is where you can enter commands that will be applied when starting CS2. These parameters allow you to optimize the game’s performance by directly adjusting its settings.
